Radio controlled airplanes, cars, trcuks, boats, helicopters, gliders, Lionel trains, HO trains, plastic models, pinewood derby supplies, hobby building supplies, paint, model rockets, and HO and 1/32 slot cars.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In 1947 our founder Al Fuschen Sr understood that people were going to have more leisure time, and a store was needed to provide hobbies to provided entertainment, a way to spend those leisure hours, and to help people relax from the grind of their daily life.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the largest in the Chicago land area and the Midwest. We are known nationally and internationally. We are your local hobby shop with the global presence.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have only one location in the Elmhurst City Centre. We are one-half block north of the Elmhurst METRA train station, and one block west of York Road.

We are open Mondays 12 Noon to 8:00 p.m.; Tuesdays through Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We are closed on Sundays.
