How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The owners have a Corporate Food Marketing background and enjoy entertaining. My Chef was originally a gourmet retail deli and catering business. Our approach of quality food attractively presented quickly caught on, and the business evolved into a full service catering business, servicing over 650 corporate customers and thousands of social catering customers annually.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My Chef Catering is known for a signature look. Guests attending parties know our quality food and presentation style, and are confident they will enjoy the event. My Chef has always focused on quality food and services at a fair price. We pride ourselves on the amount of repeat business and referrals we receive.
My Chef Catering is also very community minded. We have created and Chair some of the largest and most successful community fundraisers for area not-for-profits. We also serve on several Boards for local charities.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location. The owners pay close attention to event details, and the quality and presentation of food leaving our kitchen for an event. We believe we can maintain our high standards best by staying at one location.

We are located in the NorthWest corner of Naperville, near the intersection of I 88 and Rt. 59. Just one block south, turn on Diehl road heading west. About 1 mile on the left side of Diehl Rd., turn left on Frontenac. At the end of the street, there is a "T" intersection. The cross street is Golfview Drive.
